Default Beam E4 Swashball Guides

They split the order so all that has arrived is the ball guides.
So I can't play with the swash yet and see how it all fits together.

In the bag is 4 black guides.
2 white guides.

Are there 2 different sizes to account for wear in the guides?
If not then why 2 different colored types of ball guides?
Thx.

Wish the swash would get here...guess I should be happy that I was
even able to get one @ all. They're backordered now. And it doesn't look
like there's alot of parts outlets.

I'm liking Beam more and more...to the point of maybe getting one.
But how about parts....looks like that may be a problem.

i know a guy how deals with beam here in the uk...he's great, really helpfull...
http://www.evorc.com/
if you cant source a part try him, im sure he will ship it to you
cant review the beam swash to you atm as i have had to send my cyclic servos back as one has got a jitter issue so i cant fly my 450 atm . but it feels alot smoother than the oem one.

Thx Chris. Now if I could just get the swash cap apart from the swash base
I'll be happy. Been twisting and gripping hard and can't seem to get the
swashtop to unscrew. Is it a lefthand thread? Did they use threadlock? (hope not).

pinched outward and managed to grip it tight enuff.
I don't think I'm gonna tlock these parts back together.

Wow. This Beam swash is the only Beam part I own.
Gonna have to do sumpin' 'bout that. I need a Beam heli
to put underneath it

For now I'll just have to be happy putting it into my next
pro build that I'm collecting parts for.

MOF...anything that this swash fits is gonna get one.

Hey flerpie, be sure to watch the e-heli for sale forum for a used airframe. They come up every once in awhile. That's how I got mine.

Good tip akshaw.

Chris - I tend to build Best Of helis since $300.00 is not enuff
to buy a full metal heli. Even within the Align name product tolerances
and quality leave things to be desired, for me. Half the fun is
tearing it all apart anyways

Nothing wrong with a frankenheli. I used to have a trex/superframe and loved it. On a $300 budget may I suggest an exi pro, airframe $85?

yep i would have to agree with you there....align is good but it could also be better.
i have the new 550...not too impressed with the thin carbon on this one.
1.6mm side frames are too weak and it kinda wobbles around in the air if the blades are not well balanced.
it too had the dreaded tail wag which took me a while to solve...i had to isolate the gyro from the air frame completely to get rid of that wag .

in the future i will not buy a combo heli....next heli will be a custom/frankinheli job i think.
still got wag on the 450 pro..had it for months, it just wont go away .

one of the guys at the club has an exi 450...looks ok but i never flown it. from watching him learn to fly it it seems the gyro dont work to good..but it was a rtf package.....

Yeah, I'm keeping EXI in mind. I'm on a build jag at the moment with
2 HKPros - belt and shaft. May try EXI next. I got no loyalties, especially
not to pricing. I don't buy cheap 'cause it's cheaper. I buy cheap
because for some things like CF side plates there just ain't 'nuff difference.
Even Align recommends one sand the sharp edges of the plates.
And the rest of it...well, I'm gonna replace things like boom servo mounts
and eliminate all plastic anyways. And bearings all get replaced with
known ABEC-3 and ceramic anyways.
