Default Which blades for E700

Guys,

could someone pls give me the required spec's on the main blades?
Will go with 690's - what is needed?

Hole 5mm?
Grip 12 or 14mm?

Thanks a lot!

Most popular 690mm blades come with 5mm hole (same size as e700 blade bolts) and 12mm root. They also come with washers if you need them. The TT 690 fbl blades listed in the e700 manual are 5mm, 12mm root.

http://www.modelhelicopters.co.uk/th...on-blades.html

So, you should be pretty safe buying any 690mm blades (or 693mm if Edge) with a 5mm hole and 12mm root. Not really sure if the e700 grip is 12 or 14mm but if it is 14mm you will just need a couple of 1mm washers on each blade.

Cheers,
TomC

Can you run 710mm on this heli? I have a couple pairs of edge 713mm that I wanted to use.

No, as per the e700 manual 690-700mm mainblades.

Cheers,
TomC

710’s are way too long for the E700 – it is designed for best performance with 690 blades.

If you want to use longer blades get the E720. Edge 713's are what i run on my E720 and it's perfect.

Cyclone 695's are probably the best match for a heli like this and they will give you longer flight time with more pop.

I really like them on my TDR and was getting 1.5 minute longer flights at 1550 rpm vs. my Radix Blades. FYI, my Radix blades gave me longer flight times than Rail.

Also when I put the Cyclones on I had to REDUCE my tail gain quite a bit.

If I were building one I would use the following:

Cyclone 695mm mains
KBDD 112mm tails

I need to stop visiting this forum....

What was the problem with the 713 edge?

You'll definitely want to run 112-116's on the tail. Wouldn't go beyond 700's for the mains in any event.

I'm running KBDD 112's and Helix 695's at 1850rpm.

I will try the gryphon 700mm, and some 116mm on tail.

They perform great on my other helis, so think whey also will on the 700E :-P

Got link to gryphon?

I enjoyed my Cyclones until I crashed them Sunday. Hoping the Helix come available before I have to make a decision. Waiting on tail drive pulley...

Thanks! They look great and visible. I'm sure we'd love to hear your impressions if you fly them.

Helix long out of stock. Cyclones worked great for me, but I didn't have a lot of comparison.
