Is the canopy a thin "plastic" which would be no problem with blocking signals to a receiver antenna (inside the canopy)?

it is made of fiberglass, i have both antennas in the nose, and signal strenght is always above 95%. This is with Jeti if that matters.

Fiberglass won't significantly affect signals, no need to worry. It's only helis with carbon fiber canopies that cause issues.
