Tail throw Help needed
Trying to get my 450 Pro Airborne - but I'm having issues with my rudder.
My rudder throw is excessive with minimal movement. My Servo is moving about 90 degrees with about 10 degrees of movement with the Heli. I am using Spektrum DX8 and Spectrum AR 7200BX. I tried reducing the rudder throw in the Transmitter Servo Set up, but no real change (went all the way down to 5%). Should I Go to Parameter setup in the AR7200BX and reduce the "Headlock Gain" ??? Help !!!

First of all set the transmitter back to 100%.
Go back and read the manual again. See page 23 You want the servo to travel as close to its full ark as possible. So the push rod should be on 2nd or 3rd hole out from center no farther out. The tail ball link should be fixed. Watch this series!
Once set up use a little Exp to soften the tail.

Thanks for the link
I've been checking out the 'Freddy can Fly' Video's - He's very skilled at concise practical explanations. I had my manual open when I posted my question -but right after I posted I discovered My transmitter had gyro set to Aux 2. I set it to 'gear' and reduced the gyro down to 33% and did a brief lift off in my driveway. Only had it up for a second but it didn't spin out of control. Watching the Video reassured me (and gave great tips once I do get it airborne). I think I may be OK to actually Maiden it this weekend versus the glorified bench test in my tree covered driveway. Thanks for the tips & especially the Video
