Ok i started the build. Started taking the screws out the frame and lock tighting them. Most were in tight. The motor mount ones are in very tight. The aluminum is strong. No worries about stripping them out. One of the main bearing screws were stripped. You can see where i replaced it with a 3mm screw. Just the screw not the metal. Installed the lamding gear.

Ok so in less than 3 hours. some time spent removing the servos from my 600. I have the 4 servos mounted. The mounting hardwear have metal backing that you screw into. The front aleron servos need to be spaced outward. Due to the face the back were pressing on each other. Mounted the boom. The tail i went through all the screws and locktighted them. The aluminum is also nice and strong. I will upload the picks soon. So far this is a solid kit.

Thanks. I've never used those kind of calipers, finding it hard to read them plus the fact that they're in inches doesn't help too
Good to see that the new hk 550 kits are of decent quality and all goes well with the build.

2mm= .07874 or about .08 1.5mm=.05906 or about .06. The caliper in the pic shows .07. Right in between the two.

I think you can. I happen to be taking the seros from my 600. My other 600 heli i had was running jr servos that were about 35 each. Handles great. Unless your a hardcore 3d pilot. We tend to get drawn into the the next best servo or what the pros are using. Im in the mild 3d section. I will be into it for $300. Would be less but i bought a spartin while there on sale. Unless i need to upgrade the esc.
