Do you have an external BEC? If not get a CC 20amp BEC pro. You will notice a drastic change in operating temps on your equipment.
It's only about a 30$ investment and helps a lot

It's the same here dude. 100 to 105 degrees, hot as hell with zero wind.
My heli was the same as far as worried about goofing my setup up but once you get it and do it you will see cooler temps on your stuff with better efficiency on your batts because it's a switching BEC and should an unfortunate incident occur such as your ESC taking a crap you will then still be able to auto your X5 down to the ground. With as good as your getting you will definitly notice a temp improvement and it doesn't wiegh anything hardly at all. If you do it you won't regret it. Please keep those sick videos coming Mike

In respect to cooling holes...why not? If your flying when its 40 C outside then it would be a good idea to provide more air flow. I have done this with all of my nitro and electric rc cars, since they dont go as fast and dont have prop wash to cool the components. You will weaken the canopy...so choose wisely. I would suggest one 20-30mm hole either side of the canopy, inline with the ESC, similiar to how thunder tiger vents their canopies. |

You could always fly nude too
That way you save about 50$ if you crash

Definitely a good idea. I forgot to mention this us exactly what I do with me electric RC truggy. Castle creations mamba monster has an inbuilt fan and the motor has a castle fan shroud. Works a treat.
Get some 5v fans and run them straight from your RX. Are you running 6v on the RX ? |
