The initial question was answered correctly in post #2...but the subsequent posts seemed to indicate an indoor flying environment...in post #8, the OP acknowledged the suggestion of the quad and gave a hint of curiosity...

The post wasn't derailed, it simply took a turn as indicated by the "things to ponder" response of the OP in post #5 as the OP realized there were other possibilities that would answer his inquiry

You Could Try The Walkera Genius Or Super Cp. One Is Close In Size, The canopy fits On The Nano. I can't Say Its Better, I've Never Had One. I've Had A Master Cp it Stripped Servos As Good As It Flew. You Would Also Need A Devo Radio, Which Would probably Make It More Expensive.

The nano cpx is smaller

I think the nano blades are like 80 something mms. The heli you mention I believe is about 100mm.

I've heard said even the hisky FBL 80 is larger but cannot confirm. Quite happy with the nano so never bothered to look.

I ordered the brushless plug and play conversion kit until than I guess I will pass the time playing guitar /m/ /m/. What is double brushless? And with the brushless motor can I just keep flipping battery packs between flights without worrying about the motor dying on me again? I have four flight packs and what I was doing was charging them and going the ought them one at a time until they were all toast and calling it a day it seemed to be working fine...so I thought

Um... I don't know.

The Blade upgrade product is an inrunner and my experience with them is they can get real hot. Touch an mCP X BL tail motor and you'll see. Those tail motors also tend to fail, and the 130X plastic frame can get deformed by heat around the motor mount.

I advise caution and cooling off. Maybe unwarranted, I don't know.

So should I just order a new tail motor also? Before the engine crapped out on me I was pushing the motor with a hand flick of the main blade to get it going...I did it unconsciously pretty much I didn't even know that would work. Before the motor died and I didn't realize it was dying it was shaking and it looked like the copter was developing a tail wag...I am not sure if the tail wag was because the engine was dying and stalling that it creat

I am not sure was the dying engine causing the tail wag or the tail wag is a separate issue?

Default Is there a better small 3d copter than the nano cpx?

Hard to say. Tail motors can burn out too. There are many causes of wag and tail problems though.

Tail wag can definitely be caused by the main motor going bad. When the main motor goes bad it draws more (too much!) current and doesn't leave enough for the tail to do it's job.
