Question The throttle curve controlls the headspeed?

In normal mode, the throttle curve controls the headspeed right? I know that the gov controls it in up1 and up2.

It can be set-up many ways. Is it the Align gov? And what radio?

I have my Align gov to adjust speed in each mode, or in just IU1 & 2 on my DX7.

I have the align gov and a Dx8. I understand about the gov controlling the headspeed, but what controls the headspeed with the gov off?

This is my first nitro and trying to learn it all.

Then yes a curve if not using the gov. If you fly sport or 3-D without the gov watch out for overspeeding your engine and head.

My curve is 80, INH, 45, INH, 80. Just an FYI, YMMV.

Right now I am just flying around, no loops or rolls yet.

INH, what does that do in the curve setup?

This would probably be a good place to start, do you have a tachometer to measure headspeed?

I would recommend to always use the gov after you break in the engine. Just makes things easier and safer.

Craig

INH picks a number between the two on each side. You can put numbers but if you don't want to do the math and want a straght line between two point INH works great.

I do notice the headspeed going up sometimes when I am flying around in normal mode.

INH is inhibit and inhibits a switch or curve point.
Eg. If you had a linear curve of 0-INH-50-INH-100, it would stand to reason that the inhibited points are 25 and 75.

What radio? Most radio have a clear button, pick the point on the curve you want INH and hit the clear button.
