Running 13.5 deg on the 610's
Yes no reason to get the Kasama header. Same now...

Let me know how it works out. Are you flying the new set up this week?

OK I tested the rotortech 610mm today and they ROCK! Quicker cyclic than that of CY 600SB's. Same auto capabilities and Slightly more pop. Perfect for my flying style.
As per the Hatori Sb-20 pipe..... Mine unfortunately didnt arrive today as I had planned and won't arrive till monday (Usps delay ). I did use my friends SB20 to try out though . But his wasn't your traditional Sb-20, he port matched the header to that of the motor. Like we had spoken about in earlier posts. The 60 had rediculous top end power!!!
BUT when I would load the head while flying hard, it fell on its face!! Hell I even had to richen the mixture b/c of the porting done to the header(Little under 2 turns out). So NO KASAMA HEADER!!! It will not tune properly, She needs back pressure to work properly. I will definitely let you know as I try the new pipe when it arrives with stock porting.

Hope this helps those who are considering any of the above mentioned equipment.

Herman

that is just stain on the motor from the Coolpower fuel. I've seen it quite a bit on engine tear down. One of the reasons I don't like Coolpower. I've noticed Magnum fuel will cause a brownish stain too.
Wildcat. and early testing with Outrage fuel shows no staining

I have been running Coolpower for awhile now and, in tear downs, 3 of my motors are stained, similarly.. I dont know if it harms power, but confuses with concerns of leanness.. Now on Wildcat..

yeah I figure it can't be great when it builds up, it could add friction. My wildcat motors look like new internally, and I've had no bearing issues with those motors on Wildcat. Only fuel I've had bearing issues with is Magnum DS, but maybe I just had a run of bad luck too.

It does need a richer needle setting.. It seems to run cooler with more oil, idle is more consistent and the power is good but think I need to get that thinner shim back in for midrange.. Did you get the crank I sent you?

Interested in purchasing this motor for my Trex600n and replacing my OS.50. Are there any modifications to fit this motor? Where are the best deals to purchase? I know Helidirect is taking $50 off with the purchase of the Outrage .90 pipe. Is this a good deal? combo? What is the typical flight time? Thanks!

Guys,
I'm trying to make a decision on which pipe to buy for the KME motor.
the choices are: Hatori GP Outrage and Align.
Any thoughts on this?

I'm using the Outrage, it's nice and light. No comparison to give you though.

Hammer,
I have 2 KME engines one on my Vibe and one on my Trex600
They are awesome i cant believe the power it gave my Vibe.
I have a Outrage on my 600 and on my Vibe but people have told me there getting a lot of power from the Hatori.
I cant believe it, mine has so much power its crazy.

One guy on RR said he put a SB19 on. Drilled and taped a nipple hole for the tank pressure and used a header from the SB18. He said it was unbelievable. But it sounds like a lot of work. But hey if we can build a heli we can tap a hole for a nipple.

Let us know what you decide?

I have gone to Hatori 20.. I cracked an Outrage pipe after 2 gallons.. I may have been fan alignment issues but now I wished I had gone Hatori in the first place.. Not checked the power b/c weather condxs.

Can you explain why you like the Hatori so much since you haven't checked the power?

$90 gone after 2 gallons, those silicone dampers sound ike a good idea.. Jerome found the best performance was obtained with the Hatori pipe and was used to obtain the published HP rating.. Until Jerome makes his own pipe available, I'm going Hatori..

Go about 55% into the talk..

I too have a slight staining at the top of the piston in my 91hz with cool power after 3 gallons.

Hmmm.
