I put 1 flight on it with the RJX blades. It seems to fly as good as it did with the Edge blades. It does not sound as loud in the air as what it did. I will fly them some more and see how they do.

He seems to like them. He was as happy as I was to get it back in the air.

I like the price on these and that they come with an EC5 connector. How do fit/perform in the 480?

They are a bit tight and close to the pinion. I will see if I can get some good pics for you. If the frame did not narrow down toward the back they would work better.

As you can see it is close. I have thought about putting a washer in to space the frame out some. That might let the pack go in on its side.

I don't think washers are going to help. I would have to put spacers between the motor mount and frame also. With no Velcro it will go under the pinion. But I am not sure if that is a good option.

Looks really tight. I remember a battery tray mod for the 480 but not sure where it is. I think that would be the way to go.

I saw that myself. That would make the battery taller. It would not go under the pinion at all. I got a pm from some one that shimmed the frame out. I gave it a shot with some blade shims. It is still tight going in the frame on the side, but has plenty of room under the pinion.

I found on the Mikado forum where they said the frame narrowed by design. I did a test flight with the shims in place. It is easier to get the CG right. Before it was a bit nose heavy. Also with the wires on the side it made the canopy harder to get on. To me it is well worth the mod.

I put a set of Edge main blades back on it today. I can hear a difference in them compared to the RJX. Both sets seem to fly about the same to me. I am up to 27 logged flights, so with the test flights I did before getting RCLogbook I am at 30 or 32 flights. I really like this heli.

Did not get to fly today due to rain. I put 3 packs through it yesterday. I am up to 31 logged flights. I flew in 14 mph winds on Friday. To start with I was a bit worried about flying. Once I got it in the air and saw how it did I was very happy with it.

Still going good. I am working on getting the flips and rolls faster.

Up to 48 logged flights. I have a few that did not get logged. I am still moving the agility up on the Vbar. The flips and rolls are nice and fast now.

Took it out for an easy flight and noticed the tail pushrod guide moving , it got worse. Cut the flight short and found that it had broke. I am going to try and glue it for now.

I noticed that the push rod guide on mine was also loose even when fully tightened. It may be a good idea to put some electrical tape on the boom where the guide will sit.

That is a thought. I had a slight wag in the tail so I went back through the tail hub. When I put it back together I did some thing wrong. It spun around like crazy on spool up. It never left the ground thank goodness. Took out the tail blades and fin. Guess I had the links on wrong. Next time I will check my work better.

I got it al back in one piece. The Rail tail blades sound a lot different than the stock Edge blades.

Will the pro upgrade need to be purchased for the gov feature in the combo kit, or can fixed throttle be used and flown? Just average flying no smack 3d.
