I know this is the Outrage fourm but I believe MKS and Outrage are same manufacturer. I have a MKS x8 tail servo on 2s, after a flight its burning hot. Seems to work fine, there is no binding and the linkage is smooth. Is this normal on a HV tail servo?

No that doesnt seem normal at all. Servos can generate a little heat but in my experience that basically run cool to the touch. That servo should be fine on 2s lipo voltage as far as I know.
