Default 1100mah life pack

How many flights can I do with 1100 mha life pack or should I not fly with a pack this small?

Default 1100mah life pack

If it helps, I fly with a pulse 1350 (2s lipo) and get at least 5-6 flights before 3.8v per cell. Servos make a big difference. Used to only get 4 flights with a slow throttle servo that couldn't keep up with the gov.

What servos you have matters. I had 3 omg brushless cyclics, a futaba brushless tail and jr throttle, and i ran a nanotech 850mah 2s lipo (not life), and I would get four 6minute flights. But I usually wouldn't even unplug the heli in between the flights.

I have no problem to have about 4 or 5 flight from 1450 LiFe battery with reserve.
1 flight is about 8 minutes.

Cyclic: 2x DS515/1x Futaba BLS173 (next ones will follow)
Tail: KST BLS505X
Throttle: DS510

Default Battery for LIFE and Rx

I have a 1300 mah LIFE I was thinking of using in mine. I have a NX4 combination kit and the G10 gas motor. My concern is battery life if one battery supplies both power for flight pack and CDI.

But...... I fly gas airplanes and there I use separate packs for both. I would assume I should do the same here so what size packs would everyone recommend for this setup?

Can the RC heli get 4 to 5 10 minutes flights on a normal battery pack like a NMH and use a LIFE pack on the CDI unit?

Just thinking out loud and wondering what you all are doing and seeing.

Well reading what you guys run, I may have overdone it a bit. I'm using a 2550mah 2S lipo Pulse receiver pack. It has 6 (or maybe 7?) 6 minute flights on it and the cells are each at ~3.89

It balances really well with that pulse pack.

Default My NX 4 Experience and battery life

I fly the Hyperion LiFe 1450 mAh flight pack on my NX4 (gas engine).

In 3/4 tank of fuel (mainly hovering) I find that I am consuming about 450 mah of power.

I am guessing I may get 2 tanks to 1 flight pack. Guess I am buying some more flight packs.
