simple, small downlink?

If I have an NTSC camera picked out, composite output available, what's the simplest downlink hardware to buy? Earlier, I got a little spycam that's 2.4GHz with camera and two-inch whip all integrated, but I'd like a pure downlink that's not integrated with the camera.

Small is good. Bonus if it can wire directly into 3S/11.1V, but I'll deal with an alkaline 9V or a dedicated 2S/7.4V if I have to. I have delusions of thinking I can do an FPV rig with a TRex 250, but even if that's not possible, I still want to set up for a 350~450 class.
