Default need advice

For my 700e, I use two 6S 5000mAh batts. wired in series. The pack in question has five flights on them (very easy, mild sport flights).
As I was landing after a five minute flight, the power dropped off rapidly to the motor, then it finally dawned on me that only one of the two packs was fully charged prior, (they both take apprx. 2800mAh after a normal flight). After a complete recharge , the batt. in question took 4800mAh, and the other took 2850mAh.
Will this stressed batt. be okay, or should I remove it from future flights? Any help or suggestions is appreciated. Thanks

I would certainly mark that pack, and set my timer a bit shorter whenever it is being used. Always check it when recharging.

When you run things in series, the stronger pack will tend to mask the weaker pack, so you need to be careful about LVC, since it will be based on total pack voltage.

I think what you will find over time is that this pack will tend to have a higher internal resistance, and so will sag faster than the other pack.

So yes I would keep using it, but also keep a close eye on it.

I thought about using it for my stock Trex 600ESP (6S), but I just bought these packs for my 700e........

Sure you could have damaged the pack some but not likely much. There is almost always a LVC in place and so if you lost power, it was not from the pack, but from the esc cutting power to warn you. Yes the pack was discharged a long ways but probably not to the point where it damaged it.

Was it hot? If it was not any warmer than the other pack, then I wouldn't worry about it in the slightest.

As for how this happened, sounds like you charge the packs separately. Once solution s is to parallel charge the packs. This not only allows for simpler and sometimes faster charging, but is would stop this problem from ever happening again, as both packs are flown together and then charged together. Food for thought.

It was a little warmer than the other, but not by much. My esc is a CC 160HV. Would you have a schematic you could post, in regards to parallel charging? Thanks
