Registered. Haven't been to triple tree in several years. Hotel suggestions?

Camping is out. My wife and daughter are coming along and not very good about roughing it:-)

Thanks. I did see that. Just wondering if there was a preference. We are coming from Nashville so Spartanburg is our best choice. My wife booked a room at the holiday inn this morning. I think she wants to be close to the mall :-)

We were going to be on the beach all week in the Dominican Republic... My wife had said that I could still make sunday, but wasn't too hopeful. Last week we found out that we have baby #3 on the way, and she is not in a state to travel to the Caribbean and deal with the heat and most foods nauseate here even worse... so bad news that we had to cancel the trip and loose some cash in the process, but I plan on being there most of the day Friday to fly, and then come back on saturday with my oldest son to spectate.

Wow, two things to celebrate, baby #3 and hanging at Triple Tree for a few days - congrats!

Yes. Congrats cycle nut!
My wife and daughter were going to tag along but my wife couldn't get Friday off.
I ended up making the reservation at the Quality Inn in Clinton. Couldn't turn down a $54 room rate! Probably get what you pay for but It's only a place to sleep.

Thanks guys, the wife is really bummed about the trip cancellation, and I guess I am a little. It is going to be hard over the next two weeks to try to keep my heli excitement under wraps. Finally had an hour to go fly today and have a 450 clone that I had converted to fb using the tarot zyx. Had a crappy new servo that caused the thing to wobble all over the place. Kept adjusting things not realizing it was the servo and then of all the luck, the motor plate cracked and the main gear stripped. This particular heli is a true basket case. Served its purpose however. I have a 500 efl pro with a zyx that has been waiting in batteries since June. Wanted to try the zyx out on the 450 before risking the 500. I am hoping to get a chance to get it in the air before the 21st... But with just 1 hour to fly in the last 2 weeks, I might have to be content with Phoenix.... I do have a noob question for you guys. I have a charging case tools, and the helis (all electric), and figured I'd need to get a table and some extension cords. What else should I plan on showing up with? Lowes has a 4ft folding tbl that looks ok, how long should my extension cords be, and what rating? Charger is a power lab 6 running off of 2 500w server power supplies

Default camping and other questions...

Hey, checked out the website, but it didn't have specifics on camping.

Primitive camping, I assume?

Is there potable water available?

Bathrooms?

Will the food vendors be serving all day? Or if camping, should you plan to make most of your meals?

Are dogs allowed? On leash, of course. My wife will be out of town, so if the dog can't come it would be a deal-breaker for me.

Thanks in advance for all of the info! This would be my first funfly, and I'm getting excited thinking about it!

Absolutely, was just getting the official word on all your questions....

Camping is primitive as far as no power or direct water hook ups but there is water available for filling / refilling holding tanks.
Complete bath house on site – even with hair dryers hanging on the walls next to the sinks. 2nd bath house on the property as well. (some of the nicest facilities you will see!)
Food vendor will be there Friday & Saturday as well as Saturday night serving dinner.

Pets are definitely welcome!

IN!!!

Thanks Chris!

I am so excited. I'm totally new to the hobby, and have never been around more than one or two other pilots before.

I'll see you folks down there. I'll be the guy cratering his trex 450 from time to time (I hope there will be a parts vendor on site...seriously), and with a yellow lab mutt named...no kidding...Pilot.
