Pete,
I'm sure Xrbcorona probably won't mind the asking, but over here, you just don't ask! Buy her a couple of beers, and tell her how lovely she would look with her canopy off ;-) Next, probably PM material, but I'm sure we'd all be interested. You mentioned a while back about insurance regarding your heli. Ouch! Is this for your flat, or for the flying club, or is it a national thing? Lastly, I just got a Walkera 4#3 to add to the fleet, (170mm rotor diameter!). Once everything is up and running, I'll have photos up here. I intend identical paint jobs for all three ships, Walkera 4#3, GAUI-200, and T-Rex 450, the scaling should be cool, as they all look similar. ***yb3ard "Move to Dallas, our beer is worthless, but otherwise you'd like it here!" |

An RC heli is per definition an UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and because of that, no personal insurance will cover any damage on "third party". The only insurance that will cover, can only be obtained via membership of our national "RC Union". And that insurance policy has a limit of 500 grams for indoor flying. (Which I find fair enough, by the way) Peter |

Mines got Bluebird servos, spartan DS760 and 3153 on the tail. with a schulze/berg RX. Anybody else running these on 35/72mhz? only done a quick test hover so far, hope to get it in a bit more space later on today. Ade |

i had to tweek the settings on the gyro as i had a rather nasty bounce when stoping the tail quickly. Dropping the deceleration down fixed it.
it did blow out in that video whilst doing travelling piro tic tocs so i was kinda asking for it. Considering the size of it is a cracking little heli. Ade |

Well, here is mine, finally. Sorry about the poor photo quality, My cameras not the greatest. I'm still trying to get the COG just right, but I'm pretty sure that this is where my elecs will stay. Eventually, I want to shorten the wires once I know for sure. Please, tell me what you think. I'm a true newb so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Brandon

Hey, that looks good!
I like the placement of the 6100e up there, and gyro near the c.g., I assume no problems with the motor/esc noise. I'm thinking in the same lines, maybe keep the small batts in the tray and just move everything up front to preserve the c.g. More time in the air sounds pretty good, but at my level, I've had 4minute flights that took *forever*.... ***yb3ard " ...it was a battle of wits, and my half lost... " |

Here are some pics of my gaui. I'm still programing, so I haven't flown it yet. The CG is just about perfect. I can't wait to fly it, but I'm a new pilot so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check 'yer karma next stop at Red Lobster(tm)....... ......and Wednesday was <black powder> Wednesday, I got three good broadsides out, and managed to get myself kicked off of at least one bbs... ;-), but well worth the effort.... And 'fer real, I think the last blackpowder broadside done in the U.S., was in 1989, in Norfolk, VA.. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but you will, and I will be too...... Hey Pete! You guys built *really* tall ships, when was the last Danish broadside? Finally, it's not any particular appreciation day, but I don't really give a r*ts *ss........ For any salts out there, Salute! This is mine, and how I did the gyro location, and battery mounting. Weight comes out at 277g, and CoG is spot on the rotor shaft.. flies really well
Still cant get this gyro quite right though, it might be getting swapped out for a CSM 420e..... |
