Default Maidaned my IRCHA Whiplash!

As some of you may know I am the newbie to the hobby that won the Whiplash at IRCHA. Well that was too much heli for me to fly with just a couple months of tail in practice under my belt so her skids stayed on the ground until yesterday. With the help of a local pro the setup was finished and he took it and finalized the gain settings. I charged the packs and took to the air with her. What a giant step from only having flown a 450 prior to this. But "I love it!!!!" I did a short flight flying around and landed with my hands shaking half nerves/half ectited celebration. After that we ran out of sun and I was okay with that. It was just nice to finally feel I had the ability to fly this heli and to see her fly!

Hey Michigan Flyer,

You gonna pull that boom off and frame it? I would hate to see it crunched up

I got mine up this weekend also Fly's pretty good. Running vbar, kontronik pyro 450kv with the jive 120. I had to put my spare logo se boom supports on though to get it flying. Mine came a little over 1/4" difference in length. MA is sending out new ones.

As soon as parts are available that boom is coming off. Only proof I have it is the worlds first production one. Plus it is pretty!
One of the reasons I kept in on the bench this long was due to the boom. It's a one of a kind and maybe a little of my nervousness came frome the thought of ruining that boom.
MA sure is awsome about standing behind there products and there customer support.
I only put in one flight yesterday with it and looks like the next good flying day here is Thursday and I can't wait.
If you know where I can get a new boom let me know.
IRCHA and Minature Aircraft have made me a Minature Aircraft customer for life.
This heli will alway be in my collection.

Your crazy. I wouldnt let my whiplash near a cc controller. The magic smoke, while it might not have happened to you yet, it is INEVITABLE. Go with a YGE 120HV thats what i am running.:flamedev il:fla medevil

A Furion 6 is looking like a good choice for my 10yr old. He has skills on the Sim and after 3 packs lost the training gear. Course this will be a spring thing If I can do it.

Now that my field is closed for the winter the Whippy just taunts me to fly it but the local park is too small. I am stuck to my 450 and awaiting spring.
