Default CC160 spinning motor in throttle hold

When trying to unplug one of the pack cables my heli started to spin up in soft start. When I let go of the EC5 in question the motor cut out. Checked dx8 was in throttle hold and in norm mode at bottom stick ( 0,30,30,30 curve). Went to unplug same pack and it did it again. Had to unplug the second pack with the bec leads first, this is bad as it then shuts down the vbar with the esc still powered by the other pack. The motor should not have started as the tx was pushing out a TH and 0 rpm signal.

Setup is as follows:
Quantum motor
Vbar
Optipower and Tunigy nanotech packs
DX8
Ice2 CC 160HV

This setup is only about 1'month:old and I had done 6 flights yesterday without any issues. This happened when the turigy packs were in the heli.

Any idea what made it do this? Have I missed something in the setup or is the esc on the way out?

I found a dry solder joint where the neg lead of the bec joins the esc leads going to the pack, the only thing keeping it in place was the heat shrink tubing! This could have been expensive.....

I think the reason for the spoolup was that your receiver was getting a reboot. The reboot probably was due to your cold solder joint, but the spoolup was probably due to the failsafe setting in the receiver NOT being zero throttle. The ESC was still powered up and armed from your initial plugin.

So I'd suggest taking a relook at your receiver manual and make sure your failsafe values are what you think they are.
