Default It's May!!!

Yo, it's getting time to get outside and get some flying in. My busiest week at work is over after Mother's Day and I am looking forward to getting some flying time in. I finally got out to the field this past Saturday. The weather was brilliant and I was able to make sure I haven't lost anything over the last few months that I didn't make it out. I did a few flips and piros and otherwise kept it slow and steady. The wind picked up once the afternoon hit, but it as a fun day.

Hi Tam,
Glad to hear you got out flying. Our inside flying site stopped at the end of April and the weather has been either windy or rainy. For my b-day I got a Trex 500E Pro Super Combo and a vers. 2 mCP X. I am in the process of building the 500, head and frame done, tail is next. I'm still staying flybarred for now but that may change. It sure goes together easily. I've had a lot of other things going on and haven't been able to concentrate on the RC as much.
I might change one of the MT's to FBL since TT came out with a head for it.
Happy flying.
Lynne

That's great Lynne! I really love my bigger bird. I think I'm also going to be starting to take out the 550. I don't think it will seem very intimidating now that I am flying the 500 all the time. I'm also starting to work on a little project for my MQX quad. I'm looking around for a mini FPV system so I can fly it in the first person perpective. I think that would be pretty cool. I hope the weather out there gets better for you. Keep us up on your building progress, and I say, "Go flybarless!"

Tam

The weather has finally been cooperating here in Kentucky and I got to take our Trex 450 up for the first couple of times. Whew, SCARY! I'm just hovering the 450 & working on circles with the mCPX. I recently learned how to flip it so you know I gotta do that every battery now. Although it seems SOMEthing breaks every time I go out lately...he he...I think I need to work on Not crashing the mCPX too. But the little bugger is so easy to fix that I feel I can push myself more.

Your Quad idea sounds awesome Tam! That's a nice stable heli. We'd like to figure a way to make ours look like a Snow Speeder. One of those Go Pro cameras would be fun too.

Def keep us posted on your progress building Lynne. I've never built a heli, but I"ve watched the hubby. I think its pretty cool that you're building your own. You'll know your new baby inside & out! Hope the weather is better for you!

Happy Flying!
