Co-pilot II remote gain
Anyone know how I can control the gain via a slider or knob.
Thanks, FCA

Flame,
If your using the CPII to control the gyro gain, you have to set it with the hand held remote. You have one fixed setting. If you have the gyro gain installed on the Rx, and want to vary the gain, you'll need to assign a slider or variable pot to your gain channel through your Tx. If you want to control the overall gain to the CPII, you'll need to assign a slider to the channel controlling the on/off function of the CPII.

Thanks NightFlyr,
In my case I need to control the overall gain of the CP I had CP installed in a P51 mustang, and had an incident last week, I put the plane in a spiral death dive at a reasonable altitude I centered the sticks and watched as the system took its nice sweet time in trying to level out the plane, it sorta pulled out of the dive, inverted, and was in the process of rolling upright Not to snap back into level fligh that I was expecting Needless to say I intervened which resulted in a crash I truly believed that had I not touched the sticks, CP would have saved the day Next time TTFS Trust the F system. The lack of snapping back is the result of low gain on the control surfaces, I think I was running 60% on Pitch, and 55% on roll, however this is the perfect gain for full power level flight Having the ability to control the overall gain on a slider, would give me the ability to instantly increase the overall gain for those emergency moments Thanks, FCA.

I do have it set to level flight, but the lower gain that is perfect for level flight, is not enough to snap out of a death dive

Consult the flowchart here: http://www.revolectrix.com/support_docs/item_1275.pdf You need to redo Flight Mode Setup and set or change the Remote Setup. You can either do this by redoing Quick Setup from the start, or you can get to this common set of menus from Preferences. Pay particular attention to the common flow section at the bottom of the page. Your choices are 2 position switch, 3 position switch, volume knob, or slider. Take your pick. Once you establish the correct control, then you assign level flight mode to it.
