Default Hot ikon

Hello guys, my ikon is getting hot.
I have been charging over from a standard rx to dsmm x-bus rx
everything is working fine but the unit feel pretty hot to the touch.
I have had it power up for about 40 minute and it working with no problem.
do you think its safe to fly with.

I would contact the shop you got it from. In my experience, if they get hot, they eventually break.

Do the tail drift on the bench by it self while in hh mode?

Same deal with mine about a week ago. It was pretty old though and spent it's final days on a 32" 3d foamie. Stopped binding DSMX sats on it's own about 2 weeks before the MCU finally gave up the ghost. It wasn't the very early version with the ghetto cap but the one after where the case was held together by clip instead of glue. I still have one of the glued ones that still runs fine.
