Sure, what is your thoughts on the 2 motors and with which one would be the better performer. also would anyone of these be a down grade from the Quantum 500KV..??

4525 and 4530 are both single strand wire, both wound for power, but the 4530 is bigger so has more power.
Alot of professional pilots fly with the 4525 though, and it seems to have gobs of power.

Also I think you might be confusing something, the kv of the motor has no relation with the power the motor produces.
The size of the stator (4525, 4530), and the type of winding used are better indicators.

Which Quantum 500kv are you speaking of ?

Thanks for tuning in and helping me.Yes your rite, this is quite a learning experience for me. I under estimated one of my recent purchases and didnt do my home work. so now im just trying to gather as much info an gain some knowledge before i get something. Its Power that i want and no struggle when i do hard pitch pumps.. The Quantum that i have is the 4530-500KV... It was brought to my attention of the Scorpion 4530-540KV as well. So i was thinking of getting both Scorpion 4525-520KV and 4530-540KV... Ihave 2 goblins 700 to try them out.. i bought Kontronik Pyro 750-56 560KV Comp. and i thought by do this and lowering the gear ratio, that i can still achieve enough tork. But No way its not even close... its fast but power.. So how do i make an educated or calculated decision here? thanks Chris

I have both the 4525-520Kv Ultimate and 4530-500Kv Limited Edition Scorpions, the 4525 is lighter, but gives up a little power to the 4530-500. Again, it depends if you are looking for a lighter motor... Since you are wanting to compare it to a Quantum 4530-500KV, you would probably be best to stick with the same size stator motor (Scorpion 4530-500). Scorpion also makes the 4530 in a 540Kv Limited Edition - depending on gearing you want to use. I always use MrMel's headspeed calculator (http://heli.dacsa.net/calcv3/) to compare the different gear ratios and Kvs to use.
