Default Whiplash Gasser - Reassembling Pinion

I've had to replace the bearings on the starter shaft.

Looking for advice on how to assemble the pinion gear assembly back into the sprag/clutch assembly.

Regards

Default Its an insert fit

Just put the pinion on the one way and work it around slowly while twisting and slight downward pressure and it should just fit and slide all the way down back in.

Don't force it and look at the one way teeth if any of them are sticking out towards the center you could be pushing on it from the top with the pinion trying to insert it. Carefully push back to the side with a small screwdriver and try again and the pinion should go in.

Hi Raja,

Thanks for the advice.

I was trying to insert the pinion without removing the clutch assembly form the frame. I couldn't get it to align propoerly, however I removed the bell from the frame and it went together easilly.
