Default Has anyone setup a V120D02s RX2636H-D with futaba?

Seen a couple of videos with futaba radio bind to the v120d02s 6 axis. and i attempted to bind one to my futaba 14sg myself.
ran into a little trouble that my local hobby shop wasnt able to solve as well.

has anyone attempted to bind to the futaba 14sg as well? the 6 axis is supposed to help with flight, but i cant get any of the aileron and pitch to counter the movements when i tried moving the heli by hand. only the rudder is working in head holding gyro.

any inputs to troubleshoot is greatly appreciated.

It sounds like as if the cylic gyros are switched off. Make sure that the switch is in the WK rather than the Adj position on the receiver.

The cyclics (gyro) doesn't counteract unless there is throttle, does it work when you hold the heli in your hand and wobble it around, while applying any amount of throttle?

thanks for the prompt input!
yea, i read somewhere on a thread meant for nine eagles, that the cyclic wont counter unless there is throttle input. i disconnected the motor to the esc, and had my throttle up to 50%, still no reaction.
had a quick check on the switches too. both are set to 'off' positions.

i was thinking if it might be my gyro settings on the transmitter.
normal - "gy" 'normal' 10%
idle1 - "gy" 'avcs' 40%
idle2 - "gy" 'avcs' 45%

any idea?

ps: on the brigher side, this should be good for those who were looking to switch off the 6 axis gyro. =P

What if you have the esc and motor all connected up, so it spools up when in your hand, does it work then? I think it only goes if you've got throttle input with everything connected up... I would check for you but I've got 1 hand in a cast so I can't really lol, just be carefull holding it when the rotors and everything is spinning... just spool it up to say 15% Throttle and wobble it around in you hand, see if it all works then. Don't put it close to your face... But really it's not that bad, just don't be stupid

Btw you TX gains seem quiet low... It's for the tail so it should be high to prevent tail blowouts, mines at 76.5. You adjust the cyclic gains with the dials on the gyro/RX.

The switches should be set to the "on" or "WK" position.

my bad, i mean. both switches are on the 'WK' side.
3 adjuster knobs for aileron/elevator gyro, elevator/aileron ext and rudder ext are centered.

i reconnected the esc and had it checked just like HeliHamish instructed. its the same. only rudder is making corrections, the swash plate does not level.

the tx gains were recommended by the good folks at Walkera. but they are unable to help me with my problem, because they have only tested with a futaba 8J.
by the way, the bird works fine with a devo7e. it's just when i switch to the futaba 14sg with rxf-01 module, i encounter the problem.

+1, it should have come out of the box in WK mode.

just like to update this thread, in case someone with a futaba 14sg has the same problem that i was facing. i've cleared the model memory on my futaba 14sg and have set the gyro settings to 'norm' at 22%, it seem to work now in heading hold mode.

its quite a big discrepency between the devo transmitters and this. but wotever that works.

just wondering, is your controller a futaba 14sg or futaba 8j?
I initially used the same video as a guide to set up the v120d02s on my 14sg. but unfortunately, as I took a closer look, values of the servo end point did not relate to the 14sg. the cyclic and elevator servos over swing by huge margins when I used the settings on the video to set up my 14sg.
I also tried to cross reference 14sg and 8j instruction manual, but it seems, the gyro settings on both controller differ.

so if you have the 14sg, I would very much appreciate if you could take a few pictures of the 'end point', 'throttle curve', 'pitch curve', 'throttle hold' and most importantly, 'gyro' settings and share it.
