Default Protos 500 with Brain ready for it's maiden

This is my first Protos that had it's AR7200BX swapped out for the BRAIN fbl unit. It's all ready to fly, setup was easy but I really wanted to make sure each and every setting was correct and that nothing would slip through the cracks. Hopefully, next week-end it's time to launch the bird. Then, I have a bunch more of them to convert. Looking at my Blade 180 CFX that I have converted, the difference is like day and night I hope the same will be true for the Protos 500 !

That's awesome! I just maiden my Protos 500 this weekend with an Ikon.

I bought the Protos used from HF. It was a basket case that had been crashed and shipped to me in pieces. This was also my first time setting up and using an Ikon.

Within one minute of my first flight I was throwing this heli around like I had owned it for years. I couldn't believe how well it was flying on its maiden

I liked the Ikon so much I'm swapping out the Skookum SK540 on my Synergy E5 for one.

Good luck on your maiden if it's anything like mine you're going to be doing the bacon dance

Well, I just changed out the FBL for an IKON Micro.. Crashing less will pay for the unit I am sure. I do not make any other changes or " upgrades".
