I'm having this same debate... I've done some research: Photoship one sells a gimbal that looks nice for the F550 here. Allong with an adapter plate they also sell to make it fit the F550. That looks like a really nice landing gear/gimbal for the F550, it seems to be good quality but I have no personal experience with photoship one.
If i get a F550 thats what I will use. IDK about xaircraft, the frames look nice, but more expensive then the F550.

The Aeroxcraft landing gear and Go Pro gimbal are quality products.

Haven't setup the gimbal yet. Hence the servo wires flapping in the breeze.

yess look nice!
I think it the best of all...just because the gopro is really ahead oh the landing gear and you have less chance to see it in the shot...

I really like that landing gear, but I'm not impressed with the go-pro gimbal. I want to carry a little bigger camera, and the mkTR mount I'm looking at is pretty expensive. Think I could fit another type of gimbal like maybe an AV130 on that landing gear?

Also, the gear is out of stock!

I have been flying the F550 with the Aerial Media Pros heavy lift conversion, Droisworx Landing gear, and AV130. Here is a pic of a copter that just shipped out. Also a video of a converted F550, set up with a canon T2I and AV130. It is all available here (http://aerialmediapros.com/store/index.php)

They are 11x5 props.

We did exstensive prototype testing and found that this length of the motor plates, and the 11x5 props work best. When we had the plates long enough to run 13" props, they caused too much flex in the arms. This cause the copter/FC to behave irratically. Before releasing them to the public, we shortened them back to run Max of 12' props. The 11x5 with Axi or Avroto combo works great. Giving you the desired, heavier lifting capabilities.
