Smile 2009 1st Daytona Beach Helifly Jan. 31 & Sun. Feb. 1 in Daytona ,FL

This will be the first Helifly at myclub field in Daytona Beach. The dates are Sat. Jan. 31 & Sun. Feb. 1.
You can go to the club website ( http://home.cfl.rr.com/dbrca/ ) for a map of the field. I'll try to post more info later.
Open flying from 9:00AM to 4:00PM both days. Electrics can fly at 8:30AM. We expect 6 flight stations and will have an area set aside for hover-only testing and training.

Pilots meeting at 8:45AM both days.

AMA membership is required. No landing fee.
This is a pretty big field & lots of room for any FAI pilots to fly, not a separate runway but lots of room. Lots of room for RV's but no hookups.
It took a lot of convincing to get the club to give up the field for the weekend, so lets have a good turnout & let them see some of the great talent we have in our area.
This is also Bobby Smiths home field & he will be there. If any one has any questions please get in touch with myself or Bobby, or Terry G. the club VP & also a heli pilot. Terry said he would be cooking up some hot dogs.
Hopefully we will have a good turnout & we can make it a official funfly next year. Right now it will be a laid back, come & have fun & fly.
This is my first attempt at this, so let me know if more info is needed.
Ralph

Count me in! I will only have been flying heli's for a little over a month by then, so hopefully there will be a good training area and some helpful veteran heli guys there. Should be taking up my Trex 600N for the first time this weekend. I am not too worried because I have LOTS of sim time. Anyway, see you all there.

The web site is down for now, sorry about that. It's probably about 2 hours at the most from Cocoa beach to Daytona. I'll try to get a map to the field & post it.
