AR9000 and R921
Is there any difference on these 2 receivers other than one being red? I thought the AR9000 was 2048 resolution but I can't seem to find that information in writing anywhere...
I appreciate the help guys.

I don't think either is red anymore. JR has a 3 year warranty, 1yr ?? for Spektrum. Identical internals.

Resolution is a feature of the transmitter, not the receiver. X9303 transmits at 2048, DX7 at 1024. I'm certain the JR921 / AR9000 will correctly process the 2048 signal, don't know if the AR7000 scales it back down to 1024.

Yea that was my question really, can the AR7000 support 2048 or does it just accept the 1024 signal. I pretty much figured at LEAST the R921 supported 2048 because it COMES with the 9303 but I was more or less just really curious.

Ok, so did a little more digging, and the 2048 resolution is in fact a feature of the JR 921 / AR9000. It is only in effect when used with the JR X9303 TX.
So the AR7000 would have a lower resolution with the same TX. |

You are not getting the 2048 resolution using the Spektrum 9 ch. Only the JR 921 I have read this somewhere also. I assume JR does not publish it for obvious reasons.

If that's the case, some hobby shops have some explaining to do....
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/14164 http://www.hobbycom.com/JRP2915_p/jrp2915.htm I called Horizon a few weeks back, they told me both RX are identical inside, was I mis-informed? I did not specifically ask about resolution steps. Both RX sell for the same price in many LHS. Pinecone?? |

I'm about 90% sure that's incorrect. Like I said, I am pretty sure that Bob posted that it WAS in fact 2048

HF Support My HF Map location Join Date: Jan 2005 Location: VA You can use any of the Spektrum receivers with the x9303 or the DX7. It should also be noted, if you want 2048 resolution you need the Spektrum AR9000 or the JR R921 receivers. The other receivers are 1024. Not a really big deal unless it's important to you. __________________ Veni, Vidi, Velcro I came, I saw, I stuck around Bringing people out of Radio Shack and into the hobby. I was wrong I think this is the post I read, I was ordering 2 RX's for the giveaway promo and the hobby shop owner told me the JR was the only RX that was 2048, between him and what I read I got confused.. sorry for the wrong info |

Hey no problem buddy, you're learning with us. As long as we got the true info I think that is all that matters. I don't really know how much 2048 would REALLY change, but it was more of curiosity that got the best of me to post a new topic

2048 resolution can be attained using the dx7 only if you are lucky to have the radio modded by spectrum at their lab with a software override and using any spectrum/ JR 9000/9100 and now the ar7100/ar7100r and the ar9200 /ar9200r receivers and JR921/JR922 ,
(lucky)= very few select industry insiders and others for the rest just purchase the x9303 or the JR12 2.4 radio |
