Default Trex 700 head speed

What are you guys running for a max head speed? Have mine set at 2100 rpm & it bogs down with hard collective moves. Wren 44 , 690 blades , Trex pro 700.

What is your max power setting? What gearing ratio are you using?

It has the standard align gearing the main drive gear is 164t. I'm only running 90% power to get 2100 rpm. The only other main gear I see is 115t will this let me run 100% & stay around 2100 rpm?

Let's try again, In the ECU, what is the max Power setting at? The number we're looking for is something like 175,000, 185,000, etc.

What pinion are you using? This, divided into the main gear teeth number, will tell us the Gear Ratio of your helicopter.

OK! The first thing I would try is to increase your Max power. Bump it up to 185,000 and see how your power is (bogging under hard collective). If it's better, but still not quite what you need, then you CAN go as high as 195,000 RPM.

This will tend to increase your fuel consumption of course, and you will probably need to reduce your throttle curve to maintain that 2100 headspeed with that gear ratio.

I use a 9:1 ratio, my throttle curve is typically in the 70-80% range for a 1950-2000 HS. In winter I reduce my power to 180,000, summer I bump it up to 190,000 or 195,000 especially in august at IRCHA....
