Default VBar Sensor Configuration

For those of you that are running the VBar governor with this ESC, what did you enter for "sensor configuration" in the VBar software? I have a 6 pole motor, so do I enter a 3 or 6.
Thanks Danny

Default HW 50a V3 not arming

Still trying to finalise my setup on the goblin 380 but cannot get the esc to arm it just beeps continuously. Using mini Vbar no Gov and have updated firmware on HW program box but not on ESC, would this make a difference.
Linear throttle curve setup on DX8 and endpoints double checked in Vbar setup but still not arming, running out of ideas now...heeeeelp please

On my vbar, I have to adjust the endpoints so the vbar reads around 104% at max. I can't remember where I set minimum... If it just beeps, I would guess that it is still receiving a throttle signal when you plug the battery in. Go in your transmitter and reduce the bottom throttle endpoint a couple percent and see what happens. Do this in the endpoints, not on your curves.

Unfortunately I have already tried adjusting endpoints (travel adjust on Spektrum) on the throttle at every conceivable % but still not arming, at a complete loss at the moment...

Is your throttle cable plugged into the vbar in the correct orientation? Is there a pattern to the beeps, or is it just continuous? From the manual:

1. Warning tone for abnormal input voltage: when powered on the ESC, it will start testing the input voltage. If the voltage is not in the normal scope, the motor will emit the warning “beep beep, beep beep,
beep beep” till the voltage returns to normal (the time interval among each group of “beep beep” is 1 second).
2. Warning tone for throttle signal loss: when detected no throttle signal, the ESC will issue the following warning: “beep-, beep, beep-” (the time interval among these “beeps” is 2 seconds).
3. Warning tone if the throttle stick is not at the bottom position when the ESC is powered up: When the throttle is not at the bottom position, the ESC will issue the following warning:
“beep-beep-beep-beep-beep-” (every “beep” is very short and hurried).

I have the same problem with my dx7s and I can tell you that the beeps are for programing mode. I can trick it by putting the throttle up and pull it down just before programing mode beeps. and then it will arm but it won't arm by its self.
I have tried reversing the throttle
lowering all end points including the trim
trying to program end points like a airplane esc

YOu enter 3 as the vbar gov wants to know pole pairs.

I've been flying one on my Pro with Dominator 3S motor for a while. Governor works well for me. No issues at all. Due to the size I had to strap it onto the side of the frame.

Regards,
Roger

I have a new 50a v3 esc,
also the multifunction lcd program box

it is for my dominator 450 6s with mini v bar,
I want to use the rpm lead to the v bar,
how many volts are the rpm lead ? beacause the
rxa has a maximum of 5 volt.

I also read this on the site of hobbywing
about the firmware of the program box

Multifunction LCD program box:
Because of its larger memery size, a single firmware can be compatible with all speed controllers, including XERUN series V2.0/2.1/3.0/3.1, EZRUN V2.0, Platinum series and Platinum V3 series.

because I can choose 6 different firmwares,
I don't now with I must choose for the 50A V3

friendly regards

bas

For hobbywing support, just start a new thread here and ask how many volts that lead puts out.

Yeah it's a topic but not the official support thread. You'll get a quicker response from the hobbywing forum I just posted and it will be official too, straight up from their tech support people. But it's up to you.
