Default want to run 335/360 blades

I want to try the low head speed flight with a set of 335's or the 360's blades. My question is where or what tail should i use to extend the stock tail.I already have a up graded metal tail.,just need to how long.

Going back a couple of years on this forum there were a few threads about stretching the B400. I think ScottS and luvmyhelis did this. The key is getting a longer belt of the right tooth pitch. Then just cut some carbon to the right length for the boom.

I run 335's on my stock 400 all the time. They're the same length as the eflite blades. I also would like to run 360's, I am really curious to see what you find.

I was told by( luvmyhelis) that I could run 360s without doing any 3D.and without stretching.

I don't know if you can classify my flying as 3D but I sport fly the hell out of my helis. I wonder if under hard manuevers you'd hit the tail blades wtih 360's. It seems like there's tons of room on my 335's. RJX has 353's I'm thinking of trying as well.

I haven't. The last times I flew it I had the head speed up around 3200. It flies amazing with that kind of power, even on cheap blades. I was into flying it as hard as I could, which isn't that hard to be honest but it was fun. I got way into my 600 nitro this summer and my flying has improved dramatically. Now that winter is here I got the itch to bust out the 450 again and fly in the gym or on nice days. I might try the low head speed now though. What would you call low head speed? 2000 rpm? I wonder how long I could stretch my flight times. If I remember right I was getting about 6-7 minutes before on a 2200 3s.

you can not run 350/360 blades on a stock 400. I actualy still have mine and put it in an airwolf body. I still have spare belts and spare outrage G5 tail cases and shafts etc, etc that were used on it. Rjx flybarless head microheli cnc gears. Was not cheap to do. The best boom with correct size was actually from mars 480 when they were still in business. Finding correct aluminum inner and outer diameter boom stock is easy but everything else not so. The thing never ever liked a carbon boom LOL!

Here back in its early days LOL!
