Okay so while using this as a reference pictures I found.
I started to build my turbo shafts.
Here is what I have come up with so far

And this is a little mock up.

I'm going to try to get at least one of these done this week. But busy life and busy wife soak all my time up. Let me know what you think so far.
Also got the doors seat bases and partition wall installed

Looks good. Is that forward piece the bottom of a beer can? Drink a few more and make a couple dummy engines for me.

Very good! now you just need a black back round to fill in around it. Looks a hell of a lot better than the torque tube you see looking into my engine screens. I may attempt this sometime down the road.

Actually, I have several hover tests and only one short forward flight on it. Time and the weather has kept me from the field. I started with 1400 head speed and the tail would not hold at all. I've since raised it to 1500 and jacked the tail gain up quite a bit. It's getting better and next time out I'll play with the gain as much as possible to avoid having to raise the head speed any more. I'll probably have to go to another 50 rpm, but really don't want to go any higher than that.

Did you cut the rear wings to fit the blades? That can't really look to good.

Did some digging into to the castle and realized the the graph viewer had the wrong info in it than what was in the gov settings.... don't ask me I don't know how. But as it turns out I was flying at 800-950 for head speed... no shit I had no tail authority. Well that's fixed and this weekend is looking real good for some flights. If my new combo doesn't work out the 450kv will have to go back in so I can turn 1600 on the head

Hey, head on up I-95 to Spotsylvania for the Heli Spring Fling at the Fredericksberg Area Flying Club this coming weekend. There will be a small gathering of scale heli pilots as part of a fun fly with mostly 3D and F3C being flown. I'll be there and it looks like less than an hour from the Chesterfield area. I know of one pilot that can really help sort things out, besides me of course, that will be there and can help sort most issues you might have questions about. My notebook will have the latest version of CC software on it. Take care and maybe see you there.

So looks like you just shaved about a half inch off the whole trailing edge. Looks good. Once painted no one would know. I'd hate to have to do that to mine. I'd never get the stock color to match anything. Using the 600 tail case put my tail rotor aft just a little so I was able to use 96mm blades with room to spare.
