I've only had my hands on the stock ds425m and hitec 5084mg before getting the ds95i originally for my 250 then stealing it for the 450 and it is incredible! The heli will do a blade stall before the tail lets go!

What did you notice is better about it... just wondering how it feels in comparison and what you notice.

Also, are you using it with 68mm tail blades?

+1

No comparison. Clones are close and half the price but there is only one King.

Increased gain without wag. Decreased weathervaning / piro inconsistency in FFF, cool running, solid hold under high stress (hurricanes), etc.

000 the first thing I notice is basic hold, Doing a hard climb the tail stays put, even with lots of tuning on the collective precomp, and governor gain tinkering no other servo I have used was just so locked in. Now for the really good part, piro consistency... I am a rudder guy, I am always piroing I do piro circles, loops, flips and where ever else I can throw one in I do! The tail just spins along, keeping a steady piro speed even though I might be loading the heck out of the disk, or traveling 45MPH it is the best yet at consistency.
Piro direction changes, I am new to reversing rudder, yes yes I am guilty of being a left rudder only guy I know I know I should have learned both at the same time... Well now I am throwing some reversals in here and there, a big one for me is piro pogos with reversals, and the tail stops clean and chatter free!

My Dominator was really very good with 4 TGY306Gs, but this DS95i has allowed me to pull all stops out, and just haule azz!

Wow. It does look good... or you make it look good. I hear that MKS has been working on some HV micro servos. Should be interesting to see what they can come up with.

I still have the custom CNC aluminum adapter plate for the DS95i. Perhaps I will have to bust it out of the old box and put it to use :-)

There is a reason the box says "Lord of Serve" on it. LOL

I actually prefer the 8910a+ over the 95i, but that's just me. Both are fantastic though.

The 8910a+ is a little slower, but more torque. I think either will be a dramatic improvement over the stock 525m.

Good info!
BTW how many flights does a DS95i last? My KST 515MG lasted around 750 flights

500 flights and counting here, never a hiccup. Probably 20-30 crashes too.. (I fly LOW).

I honestly don't mean to derail this. The 95i sounds awesome.

I have the KST DS215MG on my tail, which I've been very happy with, it's plenty for my flying. I believe I heard you can put the 95i gears in it, to add additional speed, and at least get a little closer to the 95i, on a budget.

Anyone tried that? I have no complaints with my 215. But if it needed gears, I might try the 95i gears.

I do think part of what makes it so good is the 760μs 333hZ operating frequency... Not all great rudder servos work there, but most of them do...

The 760us is better because it allows you to run the thing at 560hz, something that will burn any 1520us servo. At 333hz it is basically the same as any 1520us servo. About the 95i gears, they really woke up the 306g on my 250's tail and made it a lot better. My 250's tail is now more or less perfect IMHO. I definitely recommend doing it, though even so, I'm uncertain how it compares overall to the 95i.
