F6 and static charge
Luckily, the F6 does not have a static charge build up. At my field, the logo guys and some Align guys do. What causes static build up in some models, and not others?

Id imagine the F6 has continuity from the tail case to the frame where as Align and Mikado have plastic seperating the ground.

That makes sense. Would it improve the grounding effects if some of the anodizing was removed from the boom where it contacts the tail case?

Here is a video I made on a 450 I had that was experiencing static. I was able to determine the cause was because I broke the frame and bought a cheap fiber glass frame to replace it with. When I replaced the frame with a carbon frame the issue went away. Note that the meter I am using will not beep unless it can sense a minimum of 50v, so I had at least 50v of static running through the boom. You can also see the servo start to twitch as a result of the static. Usually what people will do is ground the tail. They have a wire running from the boom to the motor mount block. For a while Mikado included a kit with the heli to do this. I'm not sure if they still do or not. I think the guys above have answered the question, basically the Furion tail is naturally earthed to the frame by reason of the metal and carbon boom support whereas the plastic boom supports of other helis isolates the boom and therefore the static is not dissapated. I run an earth wire from the boom to the engine mount bolts on my other helis.
To know what causes it look up Wikapedia viz - A Van de Graaff generator.
