Futaba 14SG

Does anybody know where I can get a hold of a Futaba 14SG? Some of the places I have checked say or show they are on back order and would be available in late April. Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.

I just took delivery of mine through Tower Hobbies last week. I guess I got my order in right in that narrow time frame that they had them in stock. I just looked at their web site and they're showing late April at this point.

I just got through doing my first flight setup with it, converted one of my existing birds. The programming seems straight forward, pretty much Futaba standard. My other radio is a 12Z. The 14SG isn't as flexible as the 12Z in a number of areas but it's also half the price. It's still a very capable system and the telemetry is a nice bonus. I really like being able to monitor the flight batteries status through the flight. I also like the vibration feature in addition to the standard beeper. There have been so many times the local noise levels would keep me from hearing the beeper. With the vibration, that's not a problem any more.

I guess I got lucky as well. My local Hobbytown had one in stock a week or so ago when I just happened to be there to buy a $4 piece of fuel tubing. I bought it on the spot.

I picked up mine from superstition hobbies in Phoeniz AZ. They have a good site and ship quickly. I actually got mine direct from Alan at their vendor tent at the Las Vegas fun fly, but I've ordered a lot of things from them and they are great.
