Default Jr dsx9 and beast x tail gain set up

Hi guys
Have the dsx9 and the new beast ar7200bx. Does anyone now how to adjust the tail gain from the tx. I use to use 2 methods, the flight mode switch or the rudder dual rate but neither work with the new beast.
Beast instructions say to transfer the gyro gain settings to channel 5 gear on the tx. Can't for the life of me find out how to do it
Thanks

Just plug your tail servo into the rudder channel

On your DSX9 go to system menu, DeviceSEL and assign Gear channel to Rudd D/R or Gear depending which switch you prefer to use when flicking between Rate and heading hold

In you radio you can disable Gyro Sens.
In TRVL ADJ. you use your Gear end points to adjust the gain values. Put both on 50% and go from there.

Good luck
jaco

You can flip between HH and rate mode by either using:

1. the Gov menu (Values set in the GOV menu are 1:1 with endpoint values, so the same values you use if using the gear channel) - Set GEAR to GOV in device select menu.

2. Gear end points - Set GEAR to ACT in device select menu.

3. If you want to use the Gyro sense menu then you have to use AUX2 when you plug in you Gyro gain wire. In this case you set AUX2 to AUX2 switch and GYR. You can then use the Gyro Sense Menu.

If you use a governor in your setup. You setup your DSX9 or X9303 as follows:
In Device Select:
GEAR=GEAR SW=GOV
AUX2=AUX2 SW=GYR

On your model you plug in as follows:
Governor lead = Gear channel
Gyro gain lead= Aux2 channel

On your radio the gyro is then controlled via Gyro Sens menu and the Governor is available to control your gov.

Hope that make sense
jaco

Check in your Gyro Sens menu and check which switch its mapped to. Make sure its not INH. Mine is mapped to RUD D/R

Thats correct, because you have mapped Gear to Gear SW to be your GOV and Aux2 to Aux2 SW to be your Gyro. You don't use the gear switch, you use the Rudd d/r switch to change between rate and hh. To check if the beastx change between HH and rate is to check if colour of light goes from blue to purple

Ron Lund does a great explanation on YouTube "9503 7200BX Advanced Gyro Gain and Governor" for the 9503 which is similar to the DSX9, but at 1.15 it states "Governor is now Gyro" and at 2.30 "Gyro is now Governor" which I did not understand. I shall study the above notes by crash-alot and hope that it will finally make sense.
