Default Spektrum H2600 servo fitment

See the pic. These don't seem to fit. What can i do? I see the manual mentions spacers. (H0031) do i need to use those on both sides?

If you use spacers you will need to use the same number of spacers on both sides. The big question is that when you have a servo horn installed can you get the link ball mounted so that it is centered on the main shaft when looking at it from the side. It's all trial and error fromthis point on....

Please let us know how you make out since I'm sure others might be interested in the outcome....

Oddly enough the spacers in the manual H0031 don't exist on helidirect. Anyone have the correct part number?

I had a similar problem with the ProModeler servos I'm using. And also got confused by the part numbers. H0031 is actually the uniball; H0075-S is the CF servo spacer.

Anyways, I used Protos servo mounting plates as spacers. These fit the servo mounting loops tightly and are much easier to install than the Goblin CF spacers, particularly if you'd need more than one. Here's the post: https://www.helifreak.com/showpost.p...9&postcount=32

The servo adapters aren't sold separately, but they come with the Protos tail servo holder for 5.99: http://www.helidirect.com/msh51051-m...os-p-22716.hdx

To follow up I had to add 3 carbon spacers to each side of the servo in order to get it mounted properly on my 630. So since it already requires 2 to mount this equals 24 servo spacers needed total. I had to sand the edge of the horns down to achieve a full range of motion. Additionally, I had to lower the cyclic ring in my vbar in order to prevent binding on the AR bracket.

To be honest this is an awful lot to go through to get a servo to fit properly. Other servos like the BK servos do not necessarily need this much help for proper fitment and operation. The Spektrum servos appear to have the spline much closer to the edge of the servo than others have.

As far as flight goes, I am happy with them. They are fast and feel direct. The really neat thing about these is the servo lead disconnects from the servo to allow you to change the servo without redoing your wiring, they also sell different sized cables so you can get the smallest length you need for your application.

BK servos fit right in with no modifying required.
