Almost have everything I need
I have been searching and reading as much as I can about a 450 that is a tough as nails, easy to maintain, and built with quality parts… I also asked two people I personally know who fly Mini P’s, they both said this is the heli you want!!! Thank you Dylan and Allen.
I have committed to build a Mini Protos, and started to buy the parts I want to fly with. I almost have everything I need; I just wanted to share my excitement with everyone. I should be flying my new Mini in January; I need a few more things and need some time to build it. I would like to hear what you guys think. Great setup. Cant think of anything better. good luck..
I personally like edge blades, they are reasonably priced and well designed. I avoid expensive blades whenever I can. |

Blades are a very personal choice though, each blade someone says is great, others will hate.

That's going to be a terrific Mini Protos. Stretched. Low FBL. 6S power system. Nice servos. Ikon FBL unit (I use the MSH Brain - more or less the same thing, I understand).
The YGE 60A ESC programmed for Governor Store mode works very well on this heli. For a carrying case, I have found this one http://www.ideal4allhobbies.com/CY-R...p/thg400xl.htm to be a very good fit for a stretched Mini Protos. Regarding blades, I like the SAB 350's a little more than the Edge 353's. They are a bit lighter. The Edge blades are nice and stable, but, in my experience, they fly heavier. For some, perhaps more experienced heli pilots, that may be a positive thing. I do use Edge CF tail blades and I like those quite a lot. I hope you have a great experience with your new Mini Protos!

Just wondering. I have read the YGE manual as well as the mini manual and two build threads. I don't foresee any build issues. I want to get down to business with this but I'm spending my heli money on Christmas, besides I have a big project at work due in late December. Putting off the build for a few weeks is a good life choice, not what I want. But the responsible thing to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have not used the Brain governor. If I understand things correctly, doing so would require wiring in a phase sensor. I'm still new enough to configuring helis that I have been taking gradual steps. I do look forward to using an external governor eventually, but most everyone seems to agree that, for an ESC built in governor, the YGE Governor Store mode works well.
