Strange I cannot find any firmware download on that download page at all. Is something wrong?

There are ESC manuals, programmers, Scorpion calculators but no firmware

I can confirm it was on there earlier and available for download.

Maybe there is a problem with the file and it may have been removed temporarily ???

Scorpion wanted to change the way it was handled so they could keep track on the firmware, it will be available again as soon as that is completed.

OK - Sounds like a sensible idea.

BTW - How did you go testing the NEW improved slow spoolup on ice...

Thanks

Just went outside, it's -10C outside here...
Result was good, my 600SE turned perhaps 20 degree totally during spoolup.

Don't they already come equipped with soft start? Or is this a type of upgrade to it?

It is an improvement to the existing soft start feature.

Still has not been placed back up on Scorpion's website at this stage.

I downloaded and installed the latest firmware, but it still starts at break neck speed. I'm using the opto cable connected to my v-bar using the external governor setting. Is there something I'm missing? Maybe a setting in the v-bar. My motor is a Scorpion HKIII-4035-560.

Fullsize of mini vbar?
Are you starting up with a throttle curve something like 0,70,70,70,70 as per Mr Mel's video?

I have a full size vbar. Which video recommends starting with that throttle curve?

What is your normal flight mode throttle curve like anyway?

On my JR12X, I have mine set to 0 at low stick and then at about 15% stick travel it jumps right up to 86 and is flat line from all the way there to full stick travel. ie similar to Helliyea's post.

I have found the start to be reasonably gentle even before I had just upgraded the firmware the other day [still need to test the new firmware myself].

Post a copy of your VBar file and I will check it, That said, if nothing pops in that, I would say you should contact scorpion and see if they can test it or replace it, I heard one other instance where this was happening.
