Default MicroHeli swash - grommet mod needed ?

In people's experience is the grommet mod still needed when using the MH swash ? The links feel as though they fit better than to the stock swash but how does it perform in practice ?

I will not have an opportunity to fly for a couple of days and will, of course, take some grommets with me when I fly but I am interested in feedback.

It helps dampen vibration, and yes it is much better in my expernence with them on my MH swash. But what works even better are silicon O-rings they are softer. Having the mod on just keeps everything tighter, I even do it on all my other heli's and it helps with stabilization.

Thanks - I have some grommets that came with the Xtreme canopy that seem softer than the stock ones. I have them installed on the MH swash so will see how they go.

I installed the MicroHeli swash on my mCP X v2. There is definitely a little slop in the links, though it's better than stock.

I tried to fit the o-rings from the stock swash, but there isn't as much room for the rings on the MH swash. It it felt to me like the links might pop off the balls at full cyclic, so I left the o-rings off.

Are there softer or smaller o-rings that would fit better? You mention silicone o-rings. Where can I get some?

Where can I order the silicon o-rings?

Nice. I've now got the 001 silicone rings on everything but the top grip links, and 002s there. I found that stretching the 001s made a better fit on the servo links without undue binding. I just stretched them a bit with a tiny screwdriver first. That way I didn't have to split the ring for the back ball.
