Default Is my charger dying?

I use a HiTec X1 charger for Nano 1S 150mAh and 180mAh batteries. I usually charge them in serial using an adapter. At the end of the charge, the charger displays 4.2v for each battery.

When it is done charging, I check each battery with a voltmeter. They are between 4.12 and 4.14v. I have noticed that the voltage has gone down over time (4 months). When the charger and the batteries were new, it was 4.2v after charging.

Is there something wrong with my charger? Or is this normal for batteries as they get older? They have perhaps about 20 - 30 flights on each battery. I run them down to about 3.78v at the end of each flight. I accidentally ran 3 of them down all the way to zero. But they seem to be work about as well as the others.

If the batteries are getting old, why does it register 4.2v on the charger, but only 4.14v on a voltmeter?

Have you checked the batteries with a different voltmeter? Perhaps your voltmeter is changing over time.

Also, are you checking the battery voltage immediately after the charge cycle is finished? Battery voltage will drop slightly after charging.

Yes, I checked the voltage with 2 voltmeters. They are about the same. Yes, I checked right after the cycle is finished.

I noticed that after a few days it drops by another few 100ths of a volt.
