Question Noob or something else ? Walkera HM V370D01 Helicopter (2.4Ghz Edition)

Hello I have a 4chan coaxial Artech miniwolf and was looking for the next 'level' and also a larger heli so the wind could not blow it around as bad. What I quickly found is that I don't know howto fly real heli OR mine needs to be calibrated or it is broken .. etc ....

* it hovers ok so I am hoping it is just that I can't fly a real heli
* I have flown with both handicap switches on and off same result
* if I move rudder left or right it start acting all super crazy I can get it to somewhat balance just using elevator/aileron ...
* could it be the gyro is pissed or something there was a small wind so not sure if that along with my no skill that is to blame.
* I have gone through 3 blades already!

Again I can fly the coaxial like a champ but is it to be expected to almost totally suck even with the handicap switches on ?? I can keep it in the air for about 20sec max with this tiny wind..

I can post video if you like but it is still windy

Oh boy!... Ok, first the 370D01 is a fp heli and by design that means it does not fair well in the wind.
I'm assuming you have the 2402 TX? Not familiar with it, so don't know what you mean "handicap switches"
Also, how do you know it hovers ok?
Flying a coax, does not mean you can fly a fp or cp heli, you basically have to "unlearn" what you know and start training on how to fly fp or cp.
A great place to start is here, you also need to invest in a sim.
Very important, practice with no wind.
Good luck and if you have more questions, fire off!
Cheers!
John

I would recommend that you leave it alone. It is a rather unpopular and old model. You may have trouble in getting parts afterwards. I would recommend the Devo version of the V200D01 instead when it becomes available. If you won't mind having a smaller indoor FP, the Walker Super FP is the product to watch.

Cool

Thanks for the info !

So I guess heli is done till my bday (November... ) .. I THINK need like $70 in parts Rotor Head Set,Servo (missing teeth ) and more blades and still not sure if I will like it ..

If i crashed it and it vibrates/osculates violently i just need new Rotor Head or can it be something else ? barrings etc I need to buy ? everything else looks OK

http://www.helipal.com/spare-part_wa...s_v370d01.html

1 x HM-V370D01-Z-02 Rotor Head Set1 x 5 X RB-4001 Fixed Pitch Main Blade (245mm)1 x HM-4#-Z-27 Servo (9g-7)

it is about 10 times as hard as I thought it would be. I guess its auto correcting and im over correcting and I get that swing action.. ill see if I can get cable for the WK2402 the one I bought and used on my E-FLY ETB41-2.4 never worked right in the sim...maybe I can find it so ill just master the simulators till November
