Around Seattle, if you don't do things in the rain, you don't do anything for about 8 months of the year. I'll run a couple of packs through in a light drizzle, then towel everything off. Doesn't seem to have hurt anything yet...

Interesting, are you concern about the moisture on the shafts and bearings?

My workbench has all kinds of grease, oil, solvents, etc and I apply them pretty liberally and regularly (and lately I've had to rebuild enough so the parts keep turning over ).

Ultimately, though, my philosophy is that my expensive toy has to earn its keep by keeping me entertained regardless of the weather. If it was my dream T-Rex 500 flybarless, I'd probably baby it, but it's a Blade 400, so it gets wet, dirty, oil-stained, grass-stained, dinged up, and flown daily!

i lost mine on the edge of our trout pound, i just quickly pulled it out blow dried the esc and let it dry for 20 mins and it worked like new.. maybe just lucky but i fly it in the rain some times.
