Main gear issue?

I am posting this for a friend who does not speak english very well.

He was just flying his dominator the other day for the first time with the KDE main gear upgrade among other upgrades. And while finishing a loop it sounded like the power just stopped. managed to try to auto down but the more the auto lasted the slower the head got and then stopped.

Once landed the main gear looked like it had melted which account for the slowing autorotation as the melted gear was stopping the head, there was no gear left at all.

This is the second time this has happened with the KDE gear on a T-Rex 700 for him. With the standard T-Rex gear no problem.

There was no sound of gear being stripped when it happened, doing a loop should not be that extreme on gear anyway.

What gives? What is the solution?

Have you guys contacted Patrick to report the problem? He seems pretty responsive.
