Default How to trade helis by UPS

I am wondering if anyone has any ideas how to trade helis via UPS? Myself and another Heli freak want to make an even trade. Neither of us have ever done anything like it. Besides being gentlemen and stand up people I can't think of any other way too do this. Suggestions please.

Default trade

You can use ups or usps you can use your own box with either or you can pay ups to package it for you for extra money I have found that using my own box and sending it usps is cheaper and faster.. but that's just me...I hope this helps

If either of you have concerns, just decide on a value and paypal each other that amount...make sure you "pay for product or service" DO NOT send as a gift

Ship when you get paid, and all will be well

If one does not ship, the other can file a paypal claim

I've done a lot of trades, and trust is a big thing. When trading we both just mailed out our birds on our own. I usually packaged it myself which is cheaper. I have also found out that USPS is cheaper than UPS most of the time. Do what is best for you and then exchange tracking numbers.

Default NO FEEDBACK.. NO TRADE..

Don't trade with anyone who has bad or NO feedback.. Some dirtbags will log on just to poach a heli and disappear from sight with your crap. If the trader wants to send his first and let you inspect it, that's cool too!! A guy with epic feedback isn't gonna risk his reputation for a bogus trade! Unless it's a goblin 770 with kontronic, OMG servos and a pyro motor AND! He's leaving the country.. I like to get some personal info from my traders for security.. A half dozen calls at 3 in the morning does wonders to a dirtbags mind set.. 🚁💔🔫💣💥

Have done 2 straight up trades and both times using UPS. One was for a 450 quad using 350QX internals traded for a Trex 450 Pro heli, and the other was the Trex 450 for a Trex 550e Pro DFC. Both straight up trades, so no payments were involved.

Shipping was a bit steep to do right with boxes big enough to ensure good protection of lots of bubble wrap and peanuts, but considering the cost of the copters, a small price to pay.

Must admit, I feel as though the trades were based strictly on "trust" for both parties and both went without a hitch. Communications and getting the "warm fuzzy feeling" everything is good is esential prior to a trade. If "something didn't feel right", I certainly wouldn't have done either trade.

IMHO: I think I certainly got the best end of both deals, but perhaps the other guys think the same thing. As long as both parties are pleased w/ the transaction, it's all good.

I've also done some trades. I second the communications (which should be happening without delays) and the warm and fuzzy feeling. It should happen smoothly and without having to force any issues. IMHO.

When trading by ups, usps, fex. Whatever manner. You both agree to ship on a certain day and to send each other the tracking numbers. If you ship first and then don't hear shit from the other guy call the appropriate company and have it turned around. Each company does it some for free and some for a cost. But as long as it's not delivered you can have it intercepted and returned to sender

I've been burnt on a trade. If someone approaches me for a trade for something I have up for sale or for trade, I consider his trade "payment", and do not ship until payment is cleared. I'm usually very clear about this.

I will make a rare exception when the person soliciting me has EXCELLENT feedback and established for at least a couple years and is active on the forum.

I won't solicit a trade with someone unless they meet the 2nd paragraph criteria and I get the "warm and fuzzies". Ultimately don't ship something your not willing to loose.

You could always make the deal over text on personal cell phones and do anumber look up to make sure he is who he ssaid he is(takes 2 mins to do for free) and send.. that way there is legal documentation on transaction and party agreal and if it goes sour then its as easy as sending a letter to city judge and u get payment and they go after him on their own terms, sounds complicated but its very easy, text agreel, look up name, send package. If goes bad send letter to his city court with copy of text transaction, they send u check for what its worth, and your good

As for me if they are close enough I'll make a 30 mile drive to meet the guy, always good to come face to face and hey I've made a lot of great flying friends!!

.... Is there a law or something that shows this? This seems a little far fetched.
