Default Poppy Blades

I'm not sure what others mean when they say certain blades are poppy or have pop. But my 245mm lynx blades make truly stunning popping and sizzle noises at certain speeds, and of course they fly great. Is it mostly about the noise.....or more about performance?

It's all about performance, generally a stiffer set of blades will respond faster, hence the more "pop".

What Terry said...

The sounds you are talking about is from what I understand the trailing blade going through turbulent air during direction changes...

I personally think that most "pop" claims are mostly placebo based on maybe different sound and "dang they look good"... I'm not saying they don't feel the difference, I do, just saying most is probably based on sound and look...

More head speed would be an easier way to add more "pop"...
