Default Killing it on the Atom 500!

Man, I had a REALLY good weekend with my Atom! It's been over a year since I took out of the box (due to a Kontronik setting itself on fire 5 seconds into its first flight). I've been neglecting it for a long time because I had a bunch of other machines to fly and I finally decided to get around to setting this one up again.

I guess I've learned quite a bit about flying and mechanical setup because it flew better than I ever remembered (I've owned it since early 2009). I was able to pull off double piro-flips, some ugly piro tic-tocs, huge autos, nose-in sideways loops and the big air loops I really could only do on my bigger ships. I have to say the feeling is incredible! In total I got 19 flights in on the Atom and only managed 5 on the 450, so it was a bit of a personal record. Anyway, Just wanted to share the experience and compliment the 'ol gal. She still has what it takes to keep up with the pack (and maybe still outrun a lot of them!).

Just checked my flight log last night and I have twice as many flights on my Atoms than any other machine. By far my favorite Heli in terms of flight characteristics, maintenance, crash cost, durability, and reliability. Love this little Heli!

Cool man, we have the same green/white canopy on the Atom. Mine's a little beat up, but it's still beautiful in the air and works enough for my needs.

How are the Revolution blades? I have a set still in the box and I'm flying the original Compass 430s for now, but I'm always curious how others compare. I've always seemed to prefer the Compass sticks since they're nice and stiff but still auto like a champ.

I like the Revolutions just fine. I picked up a few sets for $15 when they were clearing them out. I use the FB version with no problems. I also fly Edge, Rail, Compass and Blade blades. The only ones at really feel different are the Rails. The are less 'poppy' and smoother for big air. On my stretch I've been flying Edge 473s and Zeal 500s. The Zeals bite hard but get me the disk loading I like.
