DX8 Bundle question

If I buy a new DSMX DX8 with the ar8000 and tm1000 included how do I know if these are the DSMX version or DSM2 version?
Some places state that they are DSMX and others say they aren't or even that only one is.

Early AR8000s were labled DSM2 but are in fact DSMX.

I belive it had to do with the first DX8 software versions and not wanting to confuse people.

I had an early DX8 bundle that came with an 8000/TM1000 labeled as DSM2, it does bind at DSMX.

The product number didn't change, so what you're probably seeing is shops that haven't updated their product description since the initial release.

They're all DSMX at heart.
