I've balanced several HP08 motors and it is a trial and error process with tape. Sometimes the bell can be a little wobbly from shipping damage. I have straightened out a wobbly HP08 bell using a runout gauge and fixture. Then tweek the struts slightly to get the runout to zero. Try running the motor slowly in the frame without it contacting the main gear to balance it and see if it is woobly or not.

Good Luck, Don

Or contact the place you bought it from, oversky is pretty good about taking care of factory defects.

Shoot them an email about it

Need more info on your setup to troubleshoot the tail, but its most likely vibe related if linked to headspeeds.

I am running the xp-12 + hp06v2 + 9T, in a MH "X" frame, with a BL Tail.

I had issues at 70%. My bird likes the higher head speed, try running it at 80%, 85%, 90% and 95%. Mine likes 90-95%.

I was thinking of moving to a 8T, I have one and a pinion puller just been a bit occupied with the 130x (not fixing, but flying).

The governor try to give constant HS. The motor don't want to run too slow,
it will have high current due to the slow speed and result is less efficient
motor. In otherwose, the governor can help reducing bogging.

im in the same boat with the hp06 vibrations

ive already isolated the problem down to the motor, i have 5 other motors

my 2 spare hp05s run perfect, my spin motor , heck even my old worn out walkera inrunner

so i wanted to make sure 100% it was the motor, i had a extra shaft already and ordered a 2nd spare now.

if i cant balance it with the brand new shaft installed, it will get the shaft

many people do not understand how you can run lower speeds and this even tic-toc, no tail blowouts (used hp03t)

tail bl makes the difference?
