Default New Trex 700 Photos

Here are some shots from the 700 Alex brought over from Taiwan.

I am sure you all have a ton of questions...until final testing and r&d can be finished in the upcoming weeks, there is no real final specs...availability is about 2+ months out.

Wow, great pictures. Looks a big thirsty beast. Chunky main shaft. All carbon. Awesome.

Too many questions., Thickness of frames?,Rough price would be nice.

Flight test videos next?

I guess I'm a bit surprised that they only use two (small-ish) screws on either side of the engine mount. .90s make a lot of vibration...

Also, the plastic boom mount and thin (I'm assuming) carbon supports look a bit flimsy as well.

But what do I know?:o

I can only see two bearings for the main shaft. Can someone confirm that? 2 would seem a little lacking seeing that 50's now a days support with 3 bearing blocks.

Also noted that the head doesn't seem to adjustable either.

That answered some of my questions, but the $800 mark is going to be a war of the roses between the T700 and the elusive Aurora. Is he going to fly the T700N at the Las Vagas show or it just there to get people reaction.

Funny no one noticed this part, this is actually the biggest news for Align,,,,,,

"With a hint towards what lies ahead Jason said a flybarless head is currently in the works as well as an Align developed Flybarless control system which he estimates will be in the $300 range."

$300 ?? Man that must be a 2 Axis system..... the future seems to be flybarless....

Aside from this one thing I was abit suprised to see for a 90 was only one jesus bolt, no head clamp or anything,,, abit odd for a 90 loaded head. Honestly I always liked Min Air head blocks on their 50s and 90s', they are not moving abit once they are tightened down....

This machine looks very different than the markedet Aligns. In fact (in materials) similar to the Vision machines that I have. A prototype. All prototypes are heavily "blinged" since cost is not an issue.
Keep your hopes down a bit, no way this will be the stock machine or else it's going to be $$$!

BUT STILL looks great, I wish they at least will be keeping some stuff as is, except I'm worried about that engine mount too!

Old news for me, Andy mentioned it 3 weeks ago. Hope they don't use the gyro used in the gyro that they rebadged.
